This weapon is truly a godsend. This will pretty much always do 11 icons in 2P battles, as most pets in even lower-middle battling have over 19 intelligence.
Power(2) This will almost always do 11 icons in 2P, and even if it doesn't, 8 icons for this price is amazing anyway.
Price(2) Holy crap. Find me a weapon that does 8 constant icons that doesn't have any sort of drawback. You may do it. But then try finding me one that does 11 icons for cheaper. You won't, and this WILL do 11 icons frequently.
Strategy(3) I must be dreaming. The icon types are even good. Wowww... Fire is good, water is good, and air is great. There is honestly nothing bad about this weapon. If this was stronger, I'd give it an instant 10. Unfortunately, it's only useful in the middle and lower end of battling...
Other(1) I must give this more points by defying my rubric.
Defenses: Faerie Tabard may kill this but at the level of where it will be used, you probably won't be using this anymore. Otherwise, worst case scenario, Frozen Collar will make it's rare and weak appearance and hurt this. Shiny Shoal Shell Shield is also something you may have to watch out for, it'll drop 5.4 icons out of this, regardless of if it does 8 or 11 icons.
Upgrades: Runed Maractite Bow is an incredibly overpriced and not that great weapon. Faerie Tabard will definitely be present at it's level, and it'll drop it to 1.66 icons. Otherwise if you want to drop the air, you can use Fire And Ice Blade or Porcelain Hair Sticks. Or you may want to use the rapidly inflating Ylanas Blaster, before it's too expensive.

This is actually a great 8-icon weapon in terms of price. The icons are pretty good too, getting at least 5 through Ghostkershield. Air is rarely blocked at this level, and the only problem you might have with water is Leaf Shield, which the rest of the icons laugh at. However, where it really shines is in 2-player battles against an opponent with more than 19 intelligence. In that case, you're getting a ridiculously amazing deal on an 11-icon weapon. Splendid.
Alternatives: Jittery Jipple Potion is the slightly weaker intelligence-based weapon, though it has a lower intelligence barrier.
Upgrades: If the 11 icons against intelligent pets doesn't mean anything to you because you play 1-player, you can start looking at the 9-icon weapons: Psellias Fighting Fan, Ice Club, Stone Club, Essence of Esophagor, Pike Pike, and Golden Compass.
Counters: Faerie Tabard shuts this down. You can also keep your pet "stupid", or drain its intelligence away using a Scroll Potion.
