 This is one of the most affordable weapon for mid-range battlers... Very easy to find and has good amount of damage.. Just make sure you stay away from sink...

Alternatives: Ramtors Spellbook also deals 10 icons.

Upgrades: Ylanas Blaster deals 12.6 icon damage and very affordable.

muchabi
 This is the cheapest 10-icon constant on the market. Icons aren't anything special but are solid. What's not to like?

Alternatives: Staff of Righteous Fury deals around the same number of icons, and uses a bit more light. Ramtors Spellbook replaces the physical with dark, which may or may not be an improvement, given the commonness of Golden Compass. It also costs a lot more.

Upgrades: Ylanas Blaster is the next step up, for 12.6 icons.

Downgrades: 9-iconers such as Pike Pike are a step down.

Defenses: Amazingly, Thief Dagger comes out ahead, and only costs around 3k.
