 Power(2) Blocks 1 icon fully and does 5 icons.

Price(0) This thing's price tag is incredibly high, considering not only is it a Cove item, but it's a retired cove item.

Strategy(1) I'm not a fan of full icon blockers, because they're too much of a "situational weapon" for my taste. And considering the low amount of icons this deals, I don't find it too useful.

Defenses: Golden Compass.

Upgrades: Fungus Ray is better for the icons, Pirate Captains Hat for the defense.
Downgrades: Shadow Shield costs about 1% of this thing's price and does virtually the same thing minus 5 offensive icons.

 This would have been nice if not for it's price.

Alternatives: Shadow Shield also fully blocks light icons while Pirate Captains Hat fully blocks both earth and light icon but is semi-fragile.

Upgrades: Skarls Sword is the best of it's kind.
