Power to Price (5/6): In Neopia, there's a fairly significant jump in icons provided by attack weapons. There are several weapons that attack with 10-13 icons, and then there are the anagram swords, which attack with an average of 18 icons, but there's a shortage of weapons that attack with 14-17 icons - until the DSPBB was released. This weapon is in the price range of the 10- to 13-icon weapons, which is usually 1M to 2M NP, but it provides one more icon than those. In fact, the market price of Wand of Reality, a 13-icon weapon, is higher than the price for the 14-icon DSPBB. However, the other 13-icon weapons like Altador Cup Throwing Star, Bow of Destiny, and even Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting are closer to 1M than 2M, so that extra icon is usually costing the buyer around 500K NP - a pretty hefty price for just one icon.

Tactical (2/3): While water is a fairly easily blocked icon type with weapons like Leaf Shield and Parasol of Unfortunate Demise, DSPBB counteracts that by overpowering the opponent with water. Leaf Shield blocks only 5 icons of water, so in order to use it to effectively block DSPBB, the defense boost of the user would have to be twice the strength boost of their opponent. At this level of battling, that's pretty unlikely. Plus the added fire and dark icons are a bonus. DSPBB becomes less useful at higher levels of battling, where opponents are likely to have shields like Faerie Tabard, but for the intermediate battler it's a great choice.

Other (1/1): It's a rubber ducky in a Dr. Sloth cape! Adorable!

Downgrades: Maractite Battle Duck maintains the 10 water icons, but it also costs 7M NP more than the DSPBB at the Hidden Tower. Battle Duck, Dark Battle Duck, and Icy Battle Duck all provide 5 icons of water attack plus some extra. For an even more affordable downgrade, consider Pike Pike, which offers 4.5 icons of water plus 4.5 icons of light.

Alternatives: Altador Cup Throwing Star, Ylanas Blaster, Bow of Destiny, Wand of Reality, and Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting all provide 12-13 icons for a little less cost.

Upgrades: Kelpbeards Trident and Sword of Tawre preserve the strong water attack while adding punch.

Defenses/Countermeasures: Faerie Tabard provides a full water block, rendering this almost useless, but it does leave the 2 dark icons. If you're more desperate, Enchanted Kiko Squeeze Toy also provides a full water block but nothing else.
