The Sword of Reif. This is by far, my favorite anagram sword ever. If not my favorite weapon. This here is the most powerful fire weapon in the Neopia so far. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) Fire has become so hard to block, due to none of the Hidden Tower shields having the ability to fully block this, other than the other 5 icon types.

The only full fire blocker is a cove item, Frozen Cyodrake Shield which doesn't seem to make up for the pretty penny it is worth. The power of a full blocker is hindered by the fact that there is a 1/7 chance that you will block the desired and matched icon your opponent throws at you. This is why the BD is partially a guessing game. Also keep in mind that even if you manage to block all of Reif's fire, the physical still gets through thus you losing head to head. This is why only reflectors of more than 50% are useful in 2p.

Defenses/Counters: As amazing as fire is, there are a number of ways you can stop this sword. One is the faerie ability quench. Also, sink and burrow suffocate the fire. Frozen Cyodrake Shield blocks all fire but doesn't manage to stop the physical, where as Clawed Shield and Reflectozap 2000 can throw most of the fire back at your opponent.

Upgrades: None. This is the most powerful fire weapon so far. If you want more raw power, you should start stepping up to Sword of White Lies and/or Ghostkersword.

Alternatives: These include the HT Sword of series, also known as the anagram swords. They all deal the same number of damage, just with different icons of every type except mass physical.

Downgrades of power: Wand of Reality, Bow of Destiny, Altador Cup Throwing Star, Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting, and Ylanas Blaster, all deal 13ish icons.

Downgrades of fire: Portable Kiln deals 11 fire icons, yet Flask of Liquid Fire deals 10 fire in 2p if the opponent meets the intel requirements, as well as an additional 4. Mask of Coltzan does only 8 fire icons but being a dual duty, it can be popular in certain situations.

Noog
Power to Price (5/6): It's a part of the famous anagram family. The original, Sword of Skardsen, has been a kind of Power to Price standard for a while now.

Tactical (2/3): It gets through the popular Ghostkershield and the great Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield consistently. It doesn't get the full 3/3 because it only has 2 icons, which makes it easier to find particular defenses.

Miscellaneous (1/1): Looks good and performs well compared to the rest of the anagram swords.

Downgrades: Portable Kiln deals 11 consistent fire icons.

Alternatives: There isn't really an alternative if you're looking for the same type of icons, but the rest of the anagram swords deal the same amount of icons: Sword of Ari, Sword of Tawre, Sword of Thare, Sword of Thigl, Sword of Skardsen.

Upgrades: There isn't another weapon quite like this one. If you're looking for something better, then any ridiculously strong cove weapon will do.

Defenses: Slippery Floor Potion will take care of all the fire icons ONCE. Multi-use options would be Faerie Tabard that takes a good chunk of icons out of the way, and Reflectozap 2000/Clawed Shield will reflect majority (or all) of the fire icons back at your opponent.
