Awesome weapon, real earth thing. One of the only rivals to the Attack Pea weapon line.
Power (5/5) - 24 consistent icons total. 15 earth, 9 fire. Amazing power? I think so. While we're on the subject, this is really classified as a bomb, most probably due to power and the item image. However, technically, it's not a bomb, as it is multiple use, and it looks like it's going to stay that way, as stated in an NT editorial.
Price (0/2) - ... Yeah. Extremely expensive. When it first restocked at the Cove, it was probably worth 20mil at the most. That was a week and a half ago. Now, it's probably worth more than 500mil. Actually, I just saw a trade that had "2x Faerie Slingshot" in the wishlist area. That's about 400mil. This is probably going to get up to a billion before we know it. Guess we should've expected that.
Tactical (2/3) - It has 24 consistent icons, and is multiple use. Awesome if there's some guy on the BDC with really awesome weapons and stats and wants to verse you.
Anyway, earth is actually pretty easy to be blocked. Well, it is if we're talking about weapons that are nowhere near the price of this. Pirate Captains Hat is a full earth blocker + 5 fire, Illusens Silver Shield is also a full earth blocker, and Ultra Dual Shovel could also be a good choice.
If a weapon is going to have a lot of power in one icon type, then it's going to have to be one of those ones hard to block.
Overall Score (7/10) - Very expensive. But a good choice power-wise, and okay tactically. If you can get your hands on one, try and get one.
Upgrades/Alternatives - The Attack Pea is an obvious upgrade to this. With 24 icons in the first one, and going up to 32 in the SuAP, amazing little peas.
A good alternative to this is the Carrotblade. Impossible to find nowadays, but still good wasting all your time trying to find one. It's only listed in Alternatives since it can do more earth icons than this at its best.
Counters - Well, like I said in the Tactical section, this has a lot to go up against. A Pirate Captains Hat kills this to a mere 4 fire icons, Illusens Silver Shield blocks 15/24 icons, and Ultra Dual Shovel sends 75% of the earth right back at you.
Also, the Shovel Plus reflects half of the earth.
Then we have some other lists. Greater Staff Of The Earth Faerie blocks all earth, and the Faerie Tabard takes care of the fire side of things.
