Yes, this weapon is variable. D: But, it can have a lot of power. It COULD block up to 30 icons. 30 icons! Wow! Unfortuantley, the lowest it could block is 6 icons. So it's a good thing, and a bad thing, and an average thing. Basically, the chances of it being good are also variable.
Power (3/5) - Meh, sometimes it is bad... sometimes it is good. A bit like those cookies from the shop down the road. Still, this weapon is good. Normally, variables would spin my head right round (cookies if you get the reference), but this time, they don't. Maybe it's because I'm actually paying attention in school, but that's a different story.
Anyway, this is powerful... but not, in a way.
Price (1/2) - Now the last time I checked it was around 2mil. But that last time was 5 seconds ago, so it could 've changed since then. (With inflation going the way it is, probably has increased since then too) Now, let's think about that -- would you pay 2mil for a species for Krawk weapon, that could block 6 icons, could block 30? Considering that the Krawk would probably cost about the same price or more, that's quite a big price tag for a minium of 6 icons, isn't it? And then think about the training costs to train your pet up to the right stats to get full power. Now, that's quite a bit of money. Would YOU pay that? That's the real question, that I can't decide for you.
Tactical (2/3) - I suppose you could use this in 1p, if you really want to. ;)
In 2p, then you gotta think "What common weapons does this block completely or a majority of it?" If this blocks at 30, then it would stop most of the Kelpbeards Trident if it hit at it's weak power. There are a number of weapons that go through this. Most of the Ghostkersword goes through this, as does the Pirates Captain Cutlass and Ghostkerbomb. All of the Rainbow Clockwork Grundo sneaks past this.
So, is it really all that good?
Overall Score (6/10) - Not as good as good can be, but it's still okay. Not the best... but hey, who's stopping you from using it as a gallery item?
Upgrades/Alternatives - Ghostkershield is good as a strong defence. Faerie Tabard offers what the Ghostkersheild don't. So, yeah, look at the "big boy" defence weapons as upgrades/alternatives.
Leaf Shield is a good alternative, also, as it blocks 13 icons, is non-variable, and not a species weapon. (None of them are, actually, I forgot to mention it before)
