I wonder if the claws actually help... [at Jul 26th, 2012; 6:38 PM]

First of all, I want to start with this shield's price. These cannot be restocked in shops, they are redeemable by buying a TCG base pack. The odds, I am not sure of. To be honest, avatar inflation hasn't changed this item's price too much because of how fire is doing in the battledome. More on that later. Right now, this shield is around 6 million neopoints.

Most "Worthy" reflectors are within ranges of 75%-100% of reflecting. The Flame Reflectozap and Reflectozap 2000 are within these ranges, but are extremely rare compared to other reflectors, and have a very high price tag. The latter of which is retired from the Hidden Tower. Thus people may consider resorting to this 60%-80% reflector.

Alright, down to the jist of things. (Did I spell that right?). Personally, fire is my favorite icon. At the Hidden Tower set level, it is extremely hard to block. Fire rips through the Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, Ghostkershield and Dr. Sloths Personal Body Armour. In addition to that, the other two HT shields: Faerie Tabard and Shield of Faerieland only block 5 icons of fire. Also, there are no dual duties that are powerful enough at a HT level to take on for example, a Sword of Reif. Fire is also an icon that can get through the awesome Kings Lens.

Since fire is so hard to block, you really have four options when going against mass fire. The first, is to morph your pet into one a species that has considerable fire resistance. These include, the Scorchio, the Shoyru, and others. Your second option is the cove item, the Frozen Cyodrake Shield which blocks full fire. Third, you can use the Water Faerie ability: Quench, which is somewhat risky. Lastly, you have this. This shield will reflect the majority of fire icons that come your way, keep in mind, of all the possible icon types, fire is only one of seven. So that may be a risk in itself. Lastly keep in mind some mass fire weapons have additional icons.

In conclusion, if you plan on fighting at a hidden tower level or above, this shield is definitely something to consider to fend off those pesky Reif users (AKA ME). This is also nice if you have a Pteri and a Kings Lens and are trying to cover the weaknesses in your defense.

Upgrades: The Flame Reflectozap and Reflectozap 2000 for a very high price tag.

Alternatives: The Frozen Cyodrake Shield blocks ALL fire, and some additional icons.

Downgrades: If you are fighting against massive fire, but don't have a budget among millions of neopoints, I suggest you take a look at the Turbo Flame Reflector.

I'm really not convinced why everyone sees this as a good weapon. The majority of us gave this a 6, well I'm going to throw the rating of this down some.

Power(2) I don't like reflection too much because it's way too circumstantial unless a lot of icon types are being reflected.

Price(0) This is inflating more and more. Most traders are giving it off for 4m, and there's one going for 3.5m. Avatar inflation makes this weapon pure junk.

Strategy(1) Reflecting is bad strategy to me. You don't absolutely know your opponent is going to use the icon you're reflecting, so you could end up wasting a turn over it. Considering the price of this, you'll probably end up doing more damage with other weapons at this price range. Just get a Wand of Reality for icons and Sophies Magic Hat for dark and fire protection.

Other(0) I hate the avatar this is known to give (ITTPD), because it recently inflated the Bone Sceptre

Alternatives: I really don't recommend reflectors that focus on one or few icons. Just get a Sophies Magic Hat.

The Clawed Shield is known to give the famous avatar, abbreviated as ITTPD (I Taunt The Pant Devil), therefore has an elevated price tag and is merely for lending purposes only.

However, this weapon can also reflect 3 dark icons, which can block around 10% of Sword of Skardsen icons, making it purely ineffective against these dark powerhouses. However, if your opponent has something like a Portable Kiln, then they may get scorched back by around 70% of their original damage. Hot!

BlackJaguar
This is a great weapon to cover Ghostkershield's weakness in fire (just like Mega U-bend). This will destroy both Portable Kiln and Mask of Coltzan single handed. Also gives an avatar!

Alternative: Flame Reflectozap does a constant 75% fire reflection.

Upgrades: Reflectozap 2000 is the best fire reflector around.

Good for space faerie and other than that, it is only an average weapon. If you know your opponent is using something like WoF, use this. Other than that - you won't need it.
